Son and Vin wrote to me from Vietnam to take our studio address. They visited us today before leaving for Bodh Gaya. They spoke only Vietnamese and we spoke only English, but we managed to get our words across in sign language. We were happy and understood each other’s expressions and feelings without speaking a word. My work has brought me in communion with a diverse set of people who share the joy of craft and design. The joy here is honest and without any inhibitions or expectations.
I sometimes wonder how my work attracts people from across the world transcending all boundaries, languages and beliefs. Another reason why I love my job!
